I say do enjoy some of the rabbit hole careers(doctors, Private Investigator, Teacher). That's smart to give players the tools to create a real narrative for their Sims.I am getting sims 3 ambitions in a few days and I was wondering what jobs I should make my sims have, also if you have any tips about the expansion pack you can post that too.
Finally, Ambitions includes the ability to transfer Sims you created in the original Sims 3 for iPhone as well as World Adventures. Being able to affect the look of the town is something that means a lot to Sims players and I am sure this will go down well in the iPhone Ambitions, too. Plus, you can also build out locations for Sims to work in, such as bistro for the chef character. Now, it's a breeze to fix up a house by adding new rooms and fill them with objects necessary for skills and entertainment. In the original Sims 3 for iPhone, I fuzted around with building out a house but it felt limited and not easy to use. The tool set is just more intuitive to use this time. I also appreciated the updates to Build Mode, which is how you change your house around. But that's pretty much life in the real world. You have to feed, play, and tend to the baby's needs – which can be difficult while balancing a full-time career. Raising the baby takes time and attention, which is sort of like another job within Ambitions. When two Sims engage in a bit of WooHoo (that's sex, in case you didn't know) they might get a baby. Apparently there was a big request from fans to incorporate babies into the iPhone games, so now they are here. While earning promotions isn't exactly rocket science (upgrade relevant skills, show up at work on time, succeed at the minigames), it is definitely more interactive than just reporting to a job site and sitting there while time whizzes by.Įlectronic Arts updated several other aspects of Sims 3, too. There are several, including chefs, teachers, and professional athletes. It's not limited to just two or three new jobs. This new emphasis on careers is well implemented in Ambitions. After completing the task successfully and because I had recently upgraded my fire fighting skill (by practicing on a fire hydrant I installed in he front yard), I received a promotion that made my Sim ecstatic. Using tilt, I had to douse the fire in every window of the house before time ran out. For example, while chasing the dream of being a fire fighter, my little dude actually went to a burning house to hose down the flames.
These are more interactive than other careers, thanks in large part to new outfits and minigames associated with each gig. The central feature here is the arrival of new careers, such as rock star and firefighter. Just what defines your ambition? Family? Career? Happiness? Pursue them all in Sims 3: Ambitions, the latest of the expansion packs to be converted into an iPhone game.
